Abstract: 【Abstract】 Recurrent melanocytic nevus, also known as pseudomelanoma, is recurrence of melanocytic nevus after incomplete removal. Recurrent melanocytic nevus is often characterized by asymmetric and irregularly circumscribed pigmentation, and it needs to be differentiated from melanoma. Currently, there are few studies on recurrent melanocytic nevus in China and other countries. This review summarizes research advances in recurrent melanocytic nevus, and mainly describes its clinical features, histopathological and immunohistochemical characteristics, differential diagnosis, and possible etiology, in order to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of recurrent melanocytic nevus.
