Expert consensus on standards for construction of specialized hair disease clinics (2026 edition)

Abstract: 【Abstract】 Hair diseases possess the common attributes of dermatological diseases, chronic diseases, and medical aesthetics, and have an important impact on individuals′ appearance, mental status and social adaptability. They are currently a key focus and major concern in both medical practice and society. The construction of a standardized prevention and control system for hair diseases in China remains to be perfected.. Faced with strong clinical diagnosis and treatment needs, the standardized and normalized construction of specialized hair disease clinics carries important clinical value and social significance. By promoting the construction of specialized hair disease clinics, it is possible to meet clinical needs, standardize clinical practice, promote the high-quality development of the discipline, and provide patients with life-cycle diagnosis and treatment services and health management. The drafting group of this expert consensus has united relevant experts from the National Health Commission Hair Quality Control Project Expert Committee, the National Medical Center for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hair Disease Medical Alliance, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Cosmetology Branch of the Chinese Plastic and Aesthetic Association, the Hair Disease Working Group of the Chinese Society of Dermatology, the Hair Disease Working Group of the Dermatology and Venereology Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, and the Hair Disease Working Group of the Dermatology and Venereology Professional Committee of the Beijing Association of Integrative Medicine. Based on relevant literature and in combination with clinical practice, and after full discussion, a consensus was reached, aiming to promote the standardized construction of specialized hair disease clinics.
