Abstract: 【Abstract】 Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes low-power, non-ionizing light sources to modulate cellular functions and promote tissue repair via non-thermal effects. It has been widely used in dermatology. The Chinese expert consensus on the clinical application of photobiomodulation therapy in dermatology (2025), developed by the Laser Medicine Group of the Chinese Society of Dermatology, represents a significant update to previous clinical standards, and systematically outlines standardized PBMT treatment protocols. This article provides an in-depth interpretation of the expert consensus to facilitate a better understanding among clinicians and provide guidance for clinical practice, thereby enhancing the safety and efficacy of PBMT.
