Abstract: 【Abstract】 Port-wine stain(PWS)is a congenital and progressive capillary malformation characterized by structural abnormalities of intradermal capillaries and postcapillary venules. The visible skin manifestations on the face and neck are often considered a disfigurement, and the accompanying social stigma often causes serious emotional and physical impact. As a new treatment for PWS, photodynamic therapy(PDT) mediated by hemoporfin, also known as hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether(HMME), has shown good safety and efficacy, and is one of the most promising strategies for the treatment of PWS. Since 2017, HMME-PDT has been widely used for the treatment of PWS. To further standardize the clinical application of HMME-PDT, experts in the consensus group developed this consensus based on the latest research achievements and extensive discussions, so as to provide guidance for clinicians.
