Clinical analysis of 22 cases of recurrent herpes zoster

Abstract:

[Abstract] Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations of the recurrence of herpes zoster. Methods Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of the recurrence of herpes zoster with 22 cases. Results The initial and recurrent lesions in 12 cases occurred on the ipsilateral, 6 cases relapsed in the same site as the initial lesion. 11 cases endured more serious symptoms in initial issuance, and 5 cases endured more serious symptoms in the recurrence. 6 patients endured the similar severity of the symptoms in the initial issuance or recurrence of the herpes zoster. There were 6 patients with tumors or other chronic diseases, and 1 patients with pregnancy. 15 patients had no suffering from other diseases. Conclusion There was no exhibition of serious immunodeficiency in the 22 cases. Fatigue and cold starting with the initial issuance and recurrence of the herpes zoster.
