Abstract: 【Abstract】 Prurigo nodularis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a complex etiology. Its pathogenesis primarily involves immune dysregulation, neuroimmune imbalance, fibroproliferation and their interactions. In recent years, the understanding of prurigo nodularis has been promoted by transcriptomic analyses and the development of new drugs. This review summarizes the latest research progress in the pathogenesis of prurigo nodularis, aiming to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of as well as further research on prurigo nodularis.
