Expert consensus on clinical application of wet-wrap therapy for atopic dermatitis

Abstract: 【Abstract】 Wet-wrap therapy has been applied to the treatment of atopic dermatitis and proved to be safe and effective. Attention has been paid to the appropriate, effective and safe use of wet-wrap therapy in clinical practice. To this end, a group of Chinese experts majoring in dermatitis and eczema developed this consensus after thorough discussions based on Chinese and international research data,current clinical experience, and characteristics of Chinese patients. This consensus focuses on the mechanism of action, indications and contraindications, application methods, efficacy and safety of wet-wrap therapy, as well as its use in special populations and home-based wet-wrap therapy.
