Abstract: 【Abstract】 Psychogenic pruritus is a pruritic disorder in which psychological, mental, and psychosomatic factors play a critical role in the onset, aggravation, or persistence of the condition, substantially affecting the quality of life of patients and their families. Psychogenic pruritus is not rare in clinical practice, and misdiagnosis and mistreatment are relatively common. To standardize the management of psychogenic pruritus, the Psychodermatology Group of the Chinese Society of Psychosomatic Medicine, the China Dermatologist Association, and the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Dermatology convened a panel of experts in relevant fields to develop the “Expert consensus on the diagnosis and management of psychogenic pruritus (2026 edition)”, based on Chinese and international literature, experts' clinical experience, and the current status of diagnosis and treatment of psychogenic pruritus in China.
