Abstract: 【Abstract】 Neurosyphilis is a kind of clinical syndrome with various manifestations caused by Treponema pallidum infection that involves the central nervous system. Early diagnosis is challenging, and it can cause irreversible neurological damage in its late stages. Therefore, standardized diagnostic and therapeutic pathways are urgently needed in clinical practice. To address this, the Chinese Society of Dermatology, the China Dermatologist Association, and the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Professional Committee on Prevention and Control of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases jointly convened experts in sexually transmitted diseases and related fields in China to formulate this guideline. This guideline was developed following the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation instrument and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation approach, considering the epidemiological characteristics of neurosyphilis in China. It focuses on the core issues in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurosyphilis, covering diagnostic classification, differential diagnosis, management of complications, and multidisciplinary collaboration, aiming to provide a standardized diagnostic and therapeutic pathway for neurosyphilis and to improve its early identification and standardized management.
