Abstract: 【Abstract】 Syphilis is a chronic systemic sexually transmitted disease caused by Treponema pallidum. The incidence of latent syphilis is increasing worldwide, due to the increasing incidence of syphilis. This review summarizes the research progress in the epidemiology, infectivity, pathogenesis, laboratory diagnosis, and treatment of latent syphilis.
