A case of food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis

Abstract:

A case of food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis is reported. A 39-year-old male presented wheals, bellyache , nausea and swoon after eating noodles then exercising three times in the past one and half years. Treatment with epinephrine and corticosteroids could improve symptom relief. In vitro serum fish, prawn and crab-specific IgE assays results is abnormal. But in clinic there are not relevance allergic symptoms. Patient should avoid eating wheals and exercising alone.
