Abstract: We treated 1008 children with cutaneous hemangioma with low dose superficial X-ray.They were followed up for 1~20 years.958 patients (95.04%) of them cured,42 patients (4.17%) markedlyimproved,8 patients (0.79%) failed. The shortest duration for clearing the lesions was one month, and the longest duration was 35 months (average 9.25 months). The therapeutic effect is better in patientsunder 2 years old than those above 2 years old(p<0.05).No radioactive injury was observed in all the patients treated. The results showed that low dose superficial X-ray in the treatment of hemangioma in children is of high cure rate, safe, painless, and has no scar formation.
