Abstract: This is a report on the occupational dermatoses in a Qingdao Butchery. The main occupational dermatosis in this butchery was "hand dermatitis" and the incidence was 26.2%.It may be divided, into two types;(1)interdigital erosion type, and(2) keratolytic and fissure type. There were some cases of onychia, paronychia and skin traumas. The pancreas tissue patch test showed that 88% of the cases were positive, which proved that the hand dermathis of the workers picking up pig pancreas was caused by contacting with the pancreas tissue tantly. Prolonged immersion of hand in water was the main pathogenic factor of the other worker's hand dermatitis. On the basis of investigation and studies, some preventive measures are suggested.
