Abstract: The ultrastructures of S. schenclcii in human dermis and culture were observed by TEM. The results showed: Spores and hyphae could be observed in the S. schenckii from culture, both spores and hyphae had normal cell walls. The diameter of spores ranged from 3μm to 5.4μm. The average diameter of hyphae was 4.5μm. Thcre were glycogen granides, mitochondria, vacuoles, lipid droplets, ribosomes, endoplasm membrane systems, concentric membrane systems, central amorphous materials and nuclei in the cytoplasm of spores. The S. schenckii in human dermis had shrinked spores with diameter from 0.9wm to 4.0μm, and there were glycogen granules, vacuoles, lipid droplets, mitochondria and nuclei in the cytoplasm. The relationship between S. schencltii in human dermis and sporotrichosis was discussed.
