Abstract: Objective To investigate the status of cellular immunity from Th cell polarization in patients with different courses of condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods The isolated PBMC were polarized by PHA and self-plasma for 72 hours, then followed by two-color immunofluorescent staining with anti-CD4-PE and anti-CCR5-FITC,or with anti-CD4-FITC and anti-CCR3-PE.Finally the stained cells were analyzed by flow-cytometry.Results The percentages of Th1/Th2 cells of the short-course group and long-course group were(25.82±2.22)%/(14.80±1.14)% and(12.20±1.37)%/(13.74±0.99)%,respectively;the differences between normal control and two CA groups were significant(P<0.05).The Th1/Th2 cells ratios of short-course and long-course group were1.75±0.17 or 0.89±0.11,respectively.Conclusions It seems that there was Th1 predominant response in CA patients with short-course and Th2 predominant response in long-course group. These data indicate that there may be an possible switch from Th1to Th2 response in CA patient with long-course.
