Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression and im plication of cell-cycle related factors(Cyclin D1,CDK4,P16MTS1 and PRb)in condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods The expression and distribution of cyclin D1,CDK4,P16MTS1 and PRb were detected by immunohisto chemical technique streptavidin peroxidase(SP)in 27cases of HPV6/11 positive CA that were confirmed by PCR and 10cases of normal skins(foreskins). Results ①Cyclin D1was not expressed in both normal skin and lesions of CA.②The intensity of expression of CDK4 was 2.19in the basal cells in the lesions of CA,which was significantly weaker than that in normal skin(4.8,P<0.01).③The intensity of expression of P16MTS1 was 1.33 in prickle cells in the lesio ns of CA,which was significantly stronger than that in normal skin(0,P<0.05).④The intensity of expression of PRb in both basal and prickle cells of CA were 0.89 and 0.44,respectively,which were significantly stronger than those in normal skin(0and 0,P<0.05).Conclusion There is no significant alteration in G1 check point of cell cycle in the lesions of CArelated to HPV6/11.
