Abstract: Objective To explore the allelic polymorphism of HLA-DRB1,DQB1 loci and suscepti-bility to systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). Methods Polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primers(PCR-SSP) were used to study HLA-DRB1,DRB3,DRB4and DQB1,alleles in 32 patients with SLE and 104 healthy controls. Results and Conclusion The results showed that the frequencies of DRB1*15 (P<0.05,RR=2.3) and DRB1*16 (P<0.05,RR=4.86) were significanly higher in SLE patients than those of controls, and DRB1*04 allele significantly lower (P<0.05,RR=0.303) which indicates that it might be a protective allele.DQB1*04 allele was not found,in this study.
