Diagnosis of Dermatitis Herpetiformis——An Analysis of 78 Clinicaly Suspected Cases

Abstract: The diagnosis of 78 cases of clinically suspected dermatitis herpetiformis(DH) in last 10 years were studied by using histological,immunopathologic examination and immunobloting test.Re-sults: The definite diagnoses of these 78 cases were DH2 cases (2.6%),pemphigus herpetiformis (PH) 32 cases (41.0%),linear IgA disease (LAD) 14 cases (18.0%), bulous pemphigoid (BP) 12 cases (15.4%),and epidermolysis bulousa acquisita (EBA) 1 case (1.3%),another 17 cases (21.8%) could not be confirmed by DIF,salt-split skin DIF,ⅡF and immunobloting test.2 cases of DH was bothmale,27 and 29 years old respectively,no history of gluten-sensitive enteropathy and responded to therapy with dapsone.Conclusion:This study demonstrates that the incidence of DH in Chinaislower than that in Western countries.The majority of clinicaly suspected cases of DH in our clinic are patients with PH,LAD and BP,and only two cases are classic DH.
