Abstract: With biotin-labelled HPV (human papilla-mavirus)-6,11 cDNA probes,HPV DNA types were detected in paraffin-ambedded sections of 6 cases of candyloma acumfnata. The result showed that 2 cases were positive for HPV-6, 3 eases positive far HPV-11,and 1 case was negative for both types. In one of the HPV-6 positive cases, recurreace and malignant change of the skin lesion occutred 6 months after clinical cure which may raveal the oncoganic characteristics of HPV,another case relapsed. 2 months later, and large patches of positive staining were observed in the lower squamous cell layer and basal cell layer which may implicate the etiologic mechanism of rccurranca of candylortia acuminata.
