Abstract: The authors studied the clinical isolation of the pityrosporum on the surface of skin with the medium of pityrosporum.The experimental simples were taken from the lesion scales of patients with tinea versicolor (experimental group 1), the scales on clinically normal skin of patients with the tinea versicolor (experimental group 2), the lesion scales of patients with the seborrheic dermatitis (experimental group 3), the scales on clinically normal skin of healthy volunteers (experimental group 4). The results indicated that the pityrosporum may be isolated from ail experimental groups. It was found that pityrosporum isolated from experimental group 1 mainly were P.orb and that isolated from cxperimental group 3 mainly P.ov.
