Abstract: A survey of vitiligo was carried out in 87 basic antis of Nanjing according to a planned programme in 1984. 249 cases of vitiligo were discovered in a total population of 86536 surveryed. The prevalence rate was 2.9‰, with a prepanderamce of male over female. The prevalence of vitiligo in the urban papulation was higher than that of the rural which had previously been surveryed in this province.
