Construction of treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis in China (2023)

Abstract: 【Abstract】 In order to formulate standards for the construction of treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis in line with the characteristics of clinical practice in China, to standardize the establishment and operation of treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis, to improve the quality of outpatient medical services, and to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment services for patients with atopic dermatitis, Chinese Society of Dermatology and China Dermatologist Association organized relevant experts to form an expert committee on the standardized construction of treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis in China, and developed construction standards for treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis through comprehensive approaches combining literature analysis, thematic discussion, and expert consultation. This standard proposes management requirements and scoring criteria for treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis in China, including 4 dimensions of mandatory items and 5 dimensions of inspection items. Each item clearly describes specific conditions or requirements and evaluation methods, and scoring weights are assigned. In addition, grading certification standards for treat-to-target outpatient department of atopic dermatitis are expounded, which are divided into 3 grades with gradients according to the evaluation results. This standard is beneficial to improve the standardized diagnosis and treatment capabilities of atopic dermatitis in outpatient clinics of various medical institutions, promote the homogenization of atopic dermatitis management in medical institutions in different regions of China, and reasonably allocate medical resources.
