Abstract: 【Abstract】 Photobiomodulation refers to the use of different non-ionizing light sources to exert non-photothermal effects on the regulation of cellular activity for therapeutic purposes. Photobiomodulation depends on the absorption of photons by molecular photoreceptors or intracellular chromophores, and monochromatic light at different wavelengths plays different regulatory roles in the skin. This review summarizes research progress in the mechanisms and clinical application of photobiomodulation in dermatology.
