Abstract: A comparative study of systemic lupus erythematosus in 83 child(CSLE) and 200 adult (ASLE) patients was carried out.The results showed that,in child, the first signs of CSLE were more obvious than those of ASLE.The incidence of nervous system involvement in CSLE was similar to that in ASLE,but the interval from disease onset to nervous system involvement was shorter in CSLE than in ASLE.The incidence of renal involvement was not different in two groups. But the degree of severity of renal involvement was higher in CSLE than in ASLE,and the interval from disease onset to renal in-volvement was shorter in CSLE than in ASLE.The incidence of decrease of complement C3 and C4 was much higher in CSLE than in ASLE.
