Abstract: Objective To investigate the serum levels of IL-4 and sCD23 in patients, with allergie diseases and the effect of IL-4 to the produetion of sCD23.Methods The levels of 11-4 and sCD23 in the sera and peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)from palients with urticaria, eezema and rhand the lever of CD23 in the cultured PBMC with and without exogenous IL-4 were measured by ELISA Results (1) The levels of IL-4 and sCD23 were higher in patients with allergic diseases than those in conlrols, and then were positive correlation between IL-4 and sCD23(r=0.68~0.92. P<0.0l):(2)rIL-d could promote the produetion and expression of sCD23(CD23)in PBMC.this effect was much more remarkable in PBMC from patient, with eczema than that from controls. Conclusion The results contfirm that 11.-4 and sCD23 play a role in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases.
