Abstract: Objective To study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine on tyrosinase activity and the melanogenesis of B-16 murine melanoma cell. Methods MTT was used to study the proliferation of B-16 murine melanoma cell. The tyrosinase activity was measured by enzyme-kinetic-method.The melanin was detected by its absorption at 470nm against the standard concentration curve. Results The complex prescription 3(for invigorating liver and kidney) had a strong potential to promote the proliferation and melanogenesis of B-16 cell than complex prescription 1 (light sensitive drugs) or complex prescription 2 (for improvement of blood circulation),whereas complex prescription 1 was more stable in promoting tyrosinase activity among these remedies. Conclusion The remedies for invigorating of liver and kidney can not be neglected in vitiligo treatment.
