Abstract: The adherence and proliferous states of 319 Candida specimens from human oral cavity were studied using indirect immuno-flourescent (IIF) technique. The results showed that in healthy persons and the patients with other diseases having no tendency of opportunistic infection there were only single Candida spores adhering to the oral epithelial cells.Them was prominant proliferation of Landida on the oral epithelium in thrush patients arid most of the patients having a tendency of Candida intection. Our experiment showed that the adherence and proliferation of Candida and the penetration of Candida hyphae into oral epithelial cells may be an early sign of Candida infection.IIF technique could directly reflect the pathogenicity of Cmdida. It was also eon;idered to be sensitive, fast and easy to use.
