Abstract: The association of HLA with psoriasis vulgaris has been investigated. We typed the HLA antigens of 50 patients with psoriasis vulgaris: Our results showed:The higher frequencies of HLA-B13(RR=3.74)and HLA-B17(RR=2.44) are coincident with those reported by other researchers abroad. It seems that this is the common characteristic between the Caucasians and Orientals. Both the increase of frequencies of HLA-Aw19(RR=2.13)and HLA-Cw4(RR=6.35)and the decrease of HLA-Bwls(RR=0.17)and HLA-Cw3(RR=0.49) are reported for the first time: No other data have ever been published so far. We hope more data could be obtained to identify our results. The relative risk values of patients with the haplotype of HLA-Al and HLA-B17(RR=18.95 P<0.001)are very significant statistically from any other haplotype. So that HLA haplotype is used as a marker to trace the inheritance pattern of closely linked disease susceptibility genes.
