The lesions were linear and whorled hyperpigmentation following the lines of Blaschko on the whole body except mucous membranes, eyes, palms, and soles. The skin biopsy revealed that increased pigmentation of the basal layer and increase of melanocytes without incontinence of pigments. This patient was diagnosed as linear and whorled nevoid hypermelanosis. This disease is often confused with incontinentia pigmenti.
