Narrow-band ultraviolet B combined with topical drugs for the treatment of inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus: a case report

Abstract:

【Abstract】 Objective To evaluate the curative effect and safety of narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) Phototherapy plus topical sequential therapy with calcipotriol and Halometasone on inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus.Methods An inpatient diagnosed as inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus was analyzed for clinical and pathological features as well as the whole course of diagnosis and treat. The related literature was reviewed. The fficacy was evaluated by analysing of the changes of skin lesions before and after the combined treatment. Results After 6 weeks , dramatic improvement of the skin lesions was seen. Treatment was well tolerated and there were no adverse effects. Conclusion The combination of NB-UVB Phototherapy and topical sequential therapy may be a safe and effective method for treating inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus.
