Abstract: Objective: To study the HLA-DM gene polymorphism,and the correlations between HLA-DM gene polymorphism and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) . methods:HLA-DM gene polymorphism were detected by restriction fragment length polymorphism - polymerase chain reaction(RFLP-PCR).Then we had analysised the distribution of HLA-DM gene polymorphism between SLE and the health control group. Results: ①Four kinds of HLA-DMA allele genotypes, three kinds of HLA-DMB allele genotypes, six kinds of HLA-DMA genotypes, six kinds of HLA-DMB genotypes, and 29 kinds of HLA-DM haplotypes are detected in SLE group and the healthy control group. ②Among them, the HLA-DMB*0101/0103 genotype frequencies of SLE group is higher than the healthy control group（p<0.05）. Conclusions: HLA-DM gene polymorphism and the incidence of SLE have some relevance, The genotype HLA-DMB*0101/0103 may be one of the susceptible gene of SLE.
