Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between follicular mucinosis and mycosis fungoides(MF).Methods Tissuc specimens were obtained from 8 cases of idiopathic follicular mucinosis, 3 cases of follicular mucinosis accompanied with MF and 1 case of MF, then embedded in paraffin. The primers, including Vγl-8/A,Vγ10, Vγ11 and a were designed to target the variable domain of T lymphocyte receptor(TCR).The specimens were subjected to PCR with the above primers for the analysis of TCR gcnc rearrangement. Results A monoclonal rearrangement of TCRγI-8/A was found in 1 case of idiopathic follicular mucinosis, 3 cases of follicular mucinosis accompanied by MF, and 1 case of MF.Conclusion Detection of TCRγ gene rearrangement is recommended for aged patients with long-course of follicular mucinosis to rule out potential lymphoma.
