Abstract: Cytokines were closely related to the major immunoregulatory mechanism in infectious disease. The kinetics of cytokine gene expressions including IL-2,IFN-γ,IL-10,IL-6,TNF-α and IL-2 receptor in PBMC from HIV seropositive and seronegative subjects were compared by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction studies stimulated by phytohaemaglutinin(PHA),pokewed mitogen(PWM),candidin,anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody (Anti-CD3m Ab) and recombinant IL-2(rIL-2).IL-2 and IL-2 recept or (IL-2R) to PHA,PWM,candidin,anti-CD3 mAb and rIL-2 stimulation were markedly lowered in patients with HIV infection.
