Abstract: HLA-DR gene frequency was obtained using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequence-specific oligonucleotide (SSO) probes in 30 patients with psoriasis.Comparison of the HLA-DR gene frequency between the 30 patients and 255 normal controls showed that: HLA-DR7 gene frequency was significantly increased in the patients (25.0 vs 14.5,Pc<0.05,RR=2.446), while HLA-DR9 gene frequency was obviously decreased in the patients (3.33 vs 12.4, Pc<0.05,RR=0.218).The results showed that the psoriatic pathogenic gene might be closely related to the HLA-DR7 alleles.
