Abstract: This article reports three indexes of platelet, plasma malonyldialdehyde (MDA) content and glutathione-peroxidase (GSH px) activity in patients with psoriasis.Compared with normal subjects, the levels of mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW) and MDA in the patients were higher (P<0.001, P<0.001, P<0.002 respectively) while the activity of GSH-px was lower (P<0.05).The degree of abnormality of MPV, PDW and MDA was correlated with the stage of disease and the extent of involvement, which suggests that abnormality of platelet and lipid-peroxidation may play a certain role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.Comprehensive analysis of levels of MPV, PDW, MDA and GSH-px may be sed as important reference indexes to judge the seventy of the disease and evaluate the therapeutic eftect.
