Abstract: The antifungal effects of domestic fluconazoie were studied both in vitro and in vivo.In vitro, the antifungal action of fulconazole to 31 strains of Candida albicans (MIC 0.8-200 mg/L), 24 strains of Cryptococcus neoformans (MIC 2.24 -35.4mg/ L)and some dermatophytes showed good fungistatic action. The MIC, MIC50 and MIC90 are similar to those of fluconazole (0.2~> 100mg/L, 3.13~12.5ing/L).The antifungal effect to Penicillium marneffei is also very good (MIC 3.125mg/L), which is the preliminary report in the literature. In vivo, the ED50 of fluconazole to meningitis caused by Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans was 0.057 pew 0.949mg/kg which reveals even more effective than fluconazole. These results show that the antifungal effects of domestic fluconazole are more or less similar to those of imported fluconazole.it suggests that fluconazole may be effective for the treatment of human systemic fungal infections especially for the treatment of obstinate cryptococcal meningitis.

Key words: Fluconazole, Cryptococcus neoformans, Candida albicans
