Abstract: Immunohistochemical technique was used to detect type Ⅲ collagen and laminin in normal and scleroderma skin.Distribution oftype Ⅲ collagen in the normal skin was predominantly present at the dermal papillae and around epidermal appendages and blood vessels, but in scleroderma skin,a great quantity of type Ⅲ collagen was dcpositcrl in the whole detmis.Laminin at the derrno-epidermal junction in sclcroderma skin was partially coarser,or disappeared in some areas this was different from that in normal skin where the laminin showed continuous linear staining pattern.
