Determination of Guanine and Cytosine Contents of DNA in Some Pathogenic Cryptococci

Abstract: The G+C mol% content of some species of Cryptococei was reported here as determined by a thermal denaturation iechninue.The results showed that the G+C mol% content was lowest in C.lurentii,highest in C.neoformans,and Shanghai variant between C.laurentii and C.gatlii variant the range of them was from 47.82 to 61.98%,which are similar to those reported in the literatures.
