Detection of papillomavirus DNA by indirect hybridization in biopsies from patients with genital warts and verruca vulgaris

Abstract: HPV1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 11, 16, 18 DNA was detected in biopsies from 33 patients with genital warts and 34 patients with verruca vulgaris by indirect nucleus acid hybridization. The result showed that 25 out of 33 patients with genital warts were positive for HPV 10,11 16, 18 DNA and other 8 cases for HPV 6 DNA, and 32 out of 34 patients with verruca vulgaris were positive for HPV 2 DNA and other 2 cases for HPV 1 DNA.
