Abstract: In two patients whose clinical features resembled subcorneal pustular dermatosis, IgA deposits in the intercellular space of the upper epidermis were found on direct immunofluorescence study, and it was also demonstrated that IgA deposited in the intercellular space on immuno-electron microscospical investigation. It suggests that these deposits may be a specific immunological feature of subcorneal ptutular dermatosis; therefore, deposition of IgA in granular layer may play an important role in the occurrence of the pustulation. And whether this disease is a new entity or a variant of subcorneal pustular dermatosis was also discussed.
