Abstract: Identification and enumeration of both dendritic Thy-1⁺ epidermal cells Thy-1⁺ DECs) and Ia⁺ epidermal cells (Ia⁺DECs) from various parts of the body were examined by using epidermal sheets of C3H/He inbred mice and indirect immunofluorescent technique. Different densities and different distribution patterns and morphology were a6served between Thy-1⁺DECs and Ia⁺DECs, These findings may reflect different status a these two cell populations.
