Atypical fibroxanthoma: A clinico-pathological analysis of 12 cases

Abstract: This paper presents the cliaicopathologic study of 12 patients with atypical fibroxanthoma. Of them seven were male and five female. The lesion distr; buted over limbs in 10 patients. On limes, the age of these patients ranged from 24 years to 69 years, with an average of 39.1 years.The common appearance was a solitary nodule. Tine size ef lesions ranjed from 0.8cm to 5.5cm, with an average of 2.1cm. These patients were followed up for 1 to 10 years except one died ef a nonrelated disease, all patients were wiihout evidence of recurrence and metastasis. Pathologically it was a multi-cell mixture, and consisted of fibroblasts, plecmorphic cells, bizarre and maltinucleated giant cells.
