Abstract: Twenty-five cases of bullous pemphigoid(BP) were followed up for a long period.It was found that the mortality of BP(12%) was not different with that in the past.The method of treatment for BP,a smaller dose of cortico-steroid plus DDS proved benificial.Analysis of the cause of death revealed that apart from the side effects ef corticosteroid one must be aware of the common diseases of the elderly.
