Abstract: In this paper, XRF analysis was used to determine 9 kinds of trace elements in the hair from 101 normal persons, 40 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)and 50 patients with psoriasis. After statistical studies the result showed that the patients with SLE noted a dramatic drop in Zn value and an obvious rise in Ma and Pb values; while the patients with psoriasis noted a remarkable rise is Ni and Ma values. These observations suggest that the changes of these trace element values have some effects on the pathogenesis development, prognosis and diagnosis of the two diseases mentioned above.
