Abstract: A total of 254 specimens from patients with deep candidiasis was analysed from 1974 through 1981 in the m ycological laboratory of Hua Shan Hospital. Their correlation to etiological agents, primary diseases and their treatments as well as age and sex of the patients was analysed. The relation between positive culture for fungi and diagnosis of diseases was also discussed.
