Abstract: Livonalum (phenylcholon)has relatively strong fungistatic action in vitro. The minimal inhibitory concentration of livonalum are 1:1000 for candida albicans and some dermatophytes which are often found in our country. 55 patients of tinea capitis were treated with Iivonalum (0.2~0.4/daily) and small doses of griseofulvin(7.5mg/kg/daily).the curing rates being 96.36%.But that of the control group was only 60.98%,and therefore there is a significant difference between these two groups (P<0.01).
