Occupational Dermatitis Caused by Zinc Chloride in the Manufacture of Hard Cotton Paper

Abstract: Occupational dermatitis caused by zinc chloride(ZnCl2)in the manufacture of hard cotton paper has been regorted.A preliminary investigation was made in September, 1959.In order to find out the incidence of the skin disease in recent years, an examination of the workers who came in contact with ZnCl2 was carried out in 3uly, 1979.Follow up was made in March,1980.The incidence has dropged significantly(by 24% and 5.6% in 1979 and 1980 respectively as compared with 100% in 1959) because of improved industrial equipment and environmental hygiene as well as protective measures.
