Expert consensus on the clinical application of chemical peeling in China (2022)

Abstract: 【Abstract】 Chemical peeling is widely used for the treatment of a variety of skin diseases and skin photoaging. Its rational, effective and safe application has become a matter of concern in clinical practice. To standardize the clinical application of chemical peeling, an expert group developed this consensus based on the latest research achievements and extensive discussions. This consensus provides specific guidance for clinicians from the aspects of definition and classification, mechanisms of action, indications and contraindications of, techniques for and adverse reactions due to chemical peeling, as well as considerations during its application.
