成人手足口病四例及病毒学观察

Hand, foot and mouth disease in adults: four case reports and a virologic study

摘要： 目的 了解成人手足口病患者以及家庭成员感染情况。 方法 对成人手足口病患者进行观察，并对家庭成员作随访调查，用RT-PCR检测患者及家庭成员的粪便标本病毒分型。 结果 4例成人手足口病患者病原学检测结果均为阳性；随访4例成人手足口病患者9名家庭成员，发现2例患者家中曾有手足口病患儿和3例成人手足口病隐性感染患者。 结论 成人可感染手足口病病毒，并存在成人隐性感染者。

Methods A clinical investigation was carried out in four adult patients with HFMD, and their family members （or roommates）. Fecal specimens were collected from these patients and their 9 family members （or roommates）, and reverse transcription-PCR was performed to detect human enterovirus 71 （EV71） and coxsackievirus A16 （CA16） in these specimens. Results Of the 4 adult patients, 3 were positive for EV71, and 1 was for CA16. Clinical investigation identified 2 children patients with HFMD （in 2 families） and 3 adult patients with asymptomatic infection with EV71. Conclusions HFMD can affect adults, and may be asymptomatic in adults.
