Abstract: Fortx-six cases of, SLE with neuropsychiatric disturbance were analysed and discussed, Among themo 21 cases (45.7%) were with psychiatric symptoms, and 25 cases(54.3%)with neurological involvement.Those cases with psychiatric disturbance, intracranial hypertension, subarachnoid haemorrhage, cranial or peripheral A-neuropathy and Parkinsori's syndrome gave favourable response to steroid therapy in high dosage, for example, 80-135 mg of prednisone per dap. The result of steroid plus azathioprine therappy was better than that of steroid alone.
